    Russian S400 Shot Down Su-27

During Russia's military participation, the S-400 long-range air defence system reportedly saw its first action and recorded its first kill. According to multiple sources, the Ukrainian Air Force is engaged in neutralising a Su-27 aircraft near Kiev, the country's capital.

The shot down on February 25th, a day after Russian military actions in Ukraine began, and the Ukrainian Air Force had yet to incur any significant losses.  The SU-400 was apparently not deployed on Ukrainian soil, instead engaging and neutralising its target from the territory of neighbouring Belarus, where Russian forces maintain a a strong influence

    Pilot Alexander Oksanchenko

The fighter was reportedly piloted by Ukrainian Air Force colonel Alexander oksanchenko a best pilot of Ukrainian Air Force And well known in the West for his air show performances who was posthumously granted the title of hero of Ukraine by Ukrainian president vladimir Zelinsky.

Oksanchenko had trained in the Soviet era but flew in war time despite his senior age of 53 due to a shortage of trained pilots in Ukraine.

    S-400 Set A World Record

The Russian Air Defense system reportedly achieved a world record for the longest range ever for an aircraft shoot down with the S-400s, which held the record for the longest engagement range in the world until 2021, when it was exceeded by the S-500 system.

    S-400 Was Designed

The S-400 was designed to engage targets UpTo 400 kilometers away using 40 and 6 missiles but more widely deploys the 48 in 6 missile with a range of 250 km

    The 48N6

The 48N6 has demonstrated the ability to neutralize mach 8 hypersonic missiles flying at the edge of its range and engage targets at speed exceeding mach 14.

    S-400 Ability

The S-400 is praised for its capacity to engage up to 80 targets at once, as well as its excellent situational awareness supplied by numerous complementary radars, allowing it to accurately engage stealth targets.

    Against The SU-27

Against the SU-27 a 1980s fighter which Ukraine has not made any notable investments in modernizing since it was inherited from the USSR.The S-400 could very reliably gain kills from 150 kilometers or longer ranges.

    The SU-27

The SU-27 has an excellent flight performance but it's lack of electronic warfare countermeasures or stealth Capabilities leave it particularly vulnerable. Reports of the S-400 downing is SU-27 come as the Ukrainian air force reportedly lost four more SU-27s on March 5th in a major air battle over the city of zidomere in the country's western region which are though to have been brought down by SU-35 fighters.

    The Ability Of Russian Assets

The capacity of Russian assets to disable Ukrainian aircraft at such extreme ranges and distant from Russian ground forces in the country's western areas demonstrates how one-sided the balance of power in the air over Ukraine has become since Russian operations began.
